The Hôtel des Berges has opted for an exceptional setting to present its guests with its welcome gifts: oils and chocolates. On a wooden base covered in leather marquetry, small display cases sheathed in the same material hold the precious samples. The glass bell, a tribute to gastronomy, echoes the hotel’s famous Michelin-starred restaurant, the Auberge de l’Ill.

The design, by our creative studio, is inspired by the landscape in which the establishment is set: the banks of the River Ill. The turned pine base evokes traditional Alsatian boats made from the same wood. The leather marquetry reveals the design of the logo and the sinuosity of a river and its banks. The colours chosen reflect the shades of brown and orange in the restaurant’s graphic universe.

Our workshop has a network of partners that enables us to carry out multi-material projects: here, glass and wood are combined with leather. Sheathing and leather marquetry are the skills mobilised to sublimate the surfaces.
