Our expertise in sheathing is based on the art of covering surfaces with fine materials such as leather. Whether for decorative items or furniture, we master the most complex techniques. This enables us to transform each project into a unique, bespoke work of art.
Wrapping objects and furniture with leather
Wrapping is the application of a flexible material to a rigid surface. At Atelier Reverdie we mainly use leather, but also canvas or fabric. For example, our team of craftsmen cover various objects such as boxes, handles and furniture. Leather can be applied to a variety of materials, including wood, cardboard and aluminium.
Covering leather surfaces
Bas-relief in leather
Artistic covering can be used to create original, personalised relief patterns. This technique involves cutting out reinforcements which are then covered in leather. This traditional skill can be applied to both small objects and larger surfaces. Our leather bas-reliefs add depth and sensory appeal to surfaces.
Other types of leather covered surfaces
Our workshop is constantly pushing the boundaries of leather covering techniques. We can apply leather to irregular and unusual surfaces. Whether for complex objects or atypical projects, our team of craftsmen rise to the technical challenges.
